Is there such a thing as a Vegetarian cooking school?

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008
Killer Karamazing asked:

I’m a vegetarian and a sophomore in high school and I’m thinking about my future. I’m trying to graduate early and get into a cooking school. But if working/owning my own restaruante, why would I have to learn to cook meat? So is there such a thing as a University where I can go to learn culinary arts?

Sorry for any spelling mistakes.

DJ asked:

I was told I could take other courses in my local community college before I leave for Culinary Art school next year. Does anyone know what courses are recommended? Or does anyone have any suggestions on what courses to take to further extend my knowledge on running a restaurant?

Where can I find a good and friendly cooking school in NY (preferably in Queens or in NYC)?

Monday, February 25th, 2008
SwtMorrow asked:

I am just a regular college student looking to learn how to cook during the summer since I have never really cooked for myself before. I am extremely excited to learn but I don’t really want to go into some intense lessons where the students are preparing for some culinary careers. Although my mom is a great cook, she feels that it would be easier for me to learn by attending some real classes and then I could just learn some other things from her. And I also think it would be really fun to take some cooking lessons. Does anyone know a good and nice place around Queens or NYC?
