How can I write a great, 250 words essay to apply to one of The Art Institutes schools?

English is my second language and I’ve been studying it for 3-4 years. I am terrible at writing, but I have to write an essay explaining why I want to study culinary arts at one of The Art Institutes schools.

Are there any good books I can buy to help me write a better essay? Do you have any advise to give me?
