Open Question: Should I keep attending community college and go to a real college or drop out and work full time?
I’m in a real pickle here I’m 21 years old, I live with my parents, I don’t know what to do in my life, got my GED last year, I’m currently in Howard Community College, and I work at Giant as a bagger for $8.50 per hour. I’ve been thinking about three choices working in a kitchen, an office, or keep working at Giant. At first I was thinking of becoming a chef but this one class I’ve been attending was really exhausting. It’s Baking and Pastries the head chef was really impatient, I have to measure the ingredients with a scale, and what’s worst I’m dead tired after four hours in the kitchen. Is that what working in the Culinary Arts is like?. Because if it is I’m quiting. But then again should I quit my bagging job and work in a local restaurant to gain experience or keep working in Giant get promoted to cashier and some other opening? As for the office job which classes should I take? I mean I’m in Algebra I, Baking and Pastries, International Breads, and Principles of the Internet for Fall and Winter and last Spring I took Introduction to Culinary Arts, Garde Mangier I got a B in that one, Culinary Management, and some Art class I forgot what it’s called. What should I do should I flip a coin or sleep on it?
PS sorry for explaining it in long details it’s just that I kept thinking about what to do in my life and I haven’t been sleeping well, but don’t worry I’ll try to get more sleep.
