A group of 10 business people have arrived for a 12:30 lunch reservation at lucky’s, a popular restuarent in the business community. They are celebrating three employee promotions and haven made special arrangements prior to their arrival at the restaurant. Their special arrangements included being seated in the “party room” preordered appetizers so they so they can begin eating shortly after their arrival, a special order for a double chocolate sheet cake layered with buttercream frosting that reads ” congratulations on your promotions” in blue icing, to presented to the promoted employees after the meal.a hostess named Michell’s(who is not working today) recorded the reservation and all the specials arrangements a week earlier.
The businessperson who made all the arrangements approaches the host/hostess to let the restaurant know they have arrived and to confirm all the arrangements were made. Upon checking at the host/hostess stand the businessperson finds that not only the reservation has been taken for the wrong time,but the cake says “happy birthday”
